The Canon A-1, released in 1978, was the first SLR to offer full program automatic exposure alongside shutter priority, aperture priority and full manual, and it is the most capable camera of Canon's A series. Every setting is shown on an LED display in the viewfinder, and it remains a favourite for shooting FD lenses. This example has a clear lens and a freshly cleaned viewfinder eyepiece. It comes with the New FD 50mm f/1.4, the fast standard lens that makes the most of film in low light.
