Château Soutard, one of the oldest estates in Saint-Emilion, had been owned by the same family since 1836, the Ligneris, before being bought in 2006 by the insurer AG2R-La Mondiale which also owns the Larmande and Cadet-Piola castles. The castle is absolutely superb and deserves to be visited. Since the acquisition, significant investments have been made. The wines have gained in precision and gourmandise.

About the vintage

Its vineyard, which rests on a calcareous soil, and traditional working methods contribute to the production of a wine of deeply concentrated character. With a good guarding potential, Soutard produces a beautiful saint-emilion.
