Loïc Tuhal，born in 1962, is a French contemporary painter whose work is characterised by a physical and expressive approach to painting. He places particular emphasis on colour, texture and gesture, creating compositions with vibrant contrasts and a strong visual presence.

This work, entitled “Intense Gaze”, depicts a face in close-up, constructed through powerful brushstrokes and striking colour contrasts. The particularly expressive gaze forms the central focus of the composition and immediately draws the viewer’s attention.
