This painting presents a lush forest landscape crossed by a small stream, where vegetation occupies almost the entire composition. The trees rise from both banks and form an enveloping natural structure of trunks, branches, and leaves. The scene conveys the feeling of being in a secluded and silent corner, protected by the density of the forest and distant from any urban activity.

The water appears in the lower area as a tranquil surface that partially reflects the colors of the trees and the sky. Its greens, grays, violets, and bluish tones combine with small yellow, reddish, and orange spots. These reflections visually elongate the shapes of the vegetation and add depth to the scene, creating a gentle continuity between the real landscape and its inverted image.

The banks are covered with abundant plants, grasses, and small shrubs. In the foreground, the vegetation is dense and full of nuances, with light and dark greens intermingling with ochre, brown, and yellow tones.
