Vintage Seiko SilverWave Quartz Ref. 8229-8000, manufactured around 1981.

This model features a classic silver dial with applied baton hour markers and a practical day-date display at 3 o’clock. The day display includes Japanese characters, giving the watch a distinctive vintage Japanese character.

The watch is powered by a Seiko quartz movement.
The battery was replaced in September 2026, and the watch is currently running.

The stainless-steel case measures approximately 35 mm excluding the crown, making it a comfortable classic-size vintage watch. It is fitted with a stainless-steel bracelet with a wrist circumference of approximately 17.5 cm.

As this is a vintage pre-owned watch, there are scratches, small marks, and signs of age on the case, bezel, bracelet, crystal, and dial. Please carefully review all photographs for the exact cosmetic condition.

Shipping & Customs Policy

For items with a final auction price of €250 or less, shipping will generally be carried out via Japan Post ePacket Light (registered airmail).
The estimated delivery time for ePacket Light is approximately 2–3 weeks, depending on the destination country and customs clearance process.

For items sold for over €250, shipping will be upgraded to DHL Express to ensure faster delivery, improved tracking, and enhanced security.

Due to changes in customs procedures, Japan Post shipping is temporarily unavailable for items valued at less than €150 sent to the following EU countries: Austria, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Belgium, Portugal, Luxembourg, and the Czech Republic.
For these shipments, we will make a special arrangement to ship via DHL Express instead.

Please note that any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or other charges imposed by the destination country, as well as any customs clearance or handling fees charged by the carrier, are the responsibility of the buyer.

These charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. This also applies to shipments sent via DHL Express under the special arrangement described above.
