A beautiful 17th-century silver wine taster (Branntweinschale) by Hans Jakob III Baur, Augsburg, circa 1685.
Finely decorated with repoussé fruit, berries and scrolling foliage, with a scalloped rim and two opposing loop handles.
The piece bears the Augsburg city mark, maker’s mark and historic tremolier assay scrape.
