A collectible set of two Japanese Led Zeppelin LPs, combining the 1976 Japanese reissue of the legendary Led Zeppelin IV with the 1982 Japanese edition of Coda.

The collection spans very different periods of the band’s history, from the classic recordings of Led Zeppelin IV—including “Black Dog,” “Rock And Roll,” “Stairway To Heaven” and “When The Levee Breaks”—to the archival material collected on Coda.

Both Japanese editions come with their OBI strips and inserts, and both are presented in gatefold sleeves.

Japanese reissue of Led Zeppelin’s landmark fourth album.

Originally released in 1971, Led Zeppelin IV contains some of the band’s most celebrated recordings, including “Black Dog,” “Rock And Roll,” “The Battle Of Evermore,” “Stairway To Heaven,” “Going To California” and “When The Levee Breaks.”

This particular copy is the 1976 Japanese reissue, released by Atlantic with catalogue number P-10125A.

Japanese edition of Coda, released in December 1982.

The album collects previously unreleased Led Zeppelin recordings from different periods of the band’s career and was issued following the group’s dissolution after the death of drummer John Bonham.

It includes “We’re Gonna Groove,” “Poor Tom,” “I Can’t Quit You Baby,” “Ozone Baby,” “Bonzo’s Montreux” and “Wearing And Tearing.”

About This Collection

This two-LP collection offers an interesting contrast between two very different chapters of Led Zeppelin’s recording history.

Led Zeppelin IV is one of the defining albums of the band’s classic period. Its track list moves from the hard-rock attack of “Black Dog” and “Rock And Roll” to the acoustic character of “Going To California”, the folk influence of “The Battle Of Evermore”, and the epic “Stairway To Heaven.”

This copy is the 1976 Japanese Atlantic reissue, P-10125A, rather than an original 1971 Japanese pressing.

Coda, meanwhile, was released in 1982 following the end of the band and consists of previously unreleased recordings drawn from different sessions and periods.

The album closes with “Wearing And Tearing” and also contains “Bonzo’s Montreux,” a percussion-focused piece associated with John Bonham.

Together, the two records make a coherent Japanese Led Zeppelin collection: one presenting material from the band’s classic peak and the other documenting recordings released after the end of the group.

Both copies retain their Japanese OBI strips and inserts, adding to their appeal as vintage Japanese pressings.
