卖家的描述

Emmanuelle Pellet - En rade (petit format)
Acrylic painting on cardboard
H : 14,6 cm L : 18 cm
Unique piece, painted by hand, signed and numbered
The work illustrates an interior page, from the children's album/CD, Le Roi Crapaud, by the Brothers Grimm, which is attached to the shipment.

À propos de l’œuvre :

In a golden, misty light, a princess in a pink dress throws her golden ball while running on a stone bridge in a donkey’s back, a mischievous quote from the famous Pont de Rembrandt.
In the foreground, a toad wearing an orange jersey, seen from behind, reaches toward her with imploring arms. The scene illustrates the Grimm Brothers’ tale Le Roi Crapaud — where a princess must keep her promise to a amphibian creature.
The artist humorously and tenderly blends the great Dutch landscape tradition with the wondrous imagination of folk tales, in an intimate format that invites close contemplation. A singular piece, imbued with poetry and a scholarly wink.

À propos de l’artiste :

Historian of art by training, Emmanuelle Pellet studied at the École du Louvre and then at the Sorbonne, before being awarded the Agrégation of plastic arts (3rd place). After several years of teaching, she joined the Louvre Museum as head of educational action.
Her career today nurtures a personal body of work where painting mastery dialogues with a deep culture of images and art history. Her creations have been exhibited in galleries in Paris, London, Singapore and Mauritius, and have been the subject of numerous publications. They are today part of private collections in Europe, North America, Asia and the Indian Ocean.
