The reverse side advertises “Kakumarusa Soy Sauce” (カクマルサ醤油) with the wording “精撰醤油,” meaning “carefully selected soy sauce.”
The bold red, yellow, white, and brown graphics are characteristic of mid-20th-century Japanese commercial signage.
