antique Sarreguemines Coffee Service – 13 Pieces – France – Late 19th Century – Peacock Feather Decoration
Elegant antique coffee service by Sarreguemines, France, dating from the late 19th century, circa 1880–1900.
The service consists of 13 pieces:
* 6 coffee / mocha cups
* 6 matching saucers
* 1 milk jug
The set is particularly attractive for its refined shape and unusual decoration. The delicately formed cups feature elegant sculptural handles, while the softly curved outlines of the saucers and milk jug create a harmonious ensemble.
Each piece is decorated with delicate gilding and a distinctive stylised peacock-feather motif, giving the service an elegant and characteristic late-19th-century appearance.
The pieces bear the historic Sarreguemines coat-of-arms mark.
Considering its age, the service is in good antique condition. There are no cracks or significant chips. Naturally, some signs of age and use are present, including areas of wear and fading to the gilding, particularly along the rims of several saucers. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the condition description.
A beautiful and increasingly uncommon 19th-century Sarreguemines ensemble, attractive both as a collector’s set and as an elegant decorative display.
Additional items included: A matching coffee pot in need of restoration, as well as one additional cup and saucer, will be included with the service at no extra cost. These pieces are offered as complimentary extras and are not included in the stated 13-piece count.
