This complete set of five Japanese sencha tea cups (senchawan) comes with its original wooden box (tomobako), crafted by the prestigious Kyoto kiln Tachikichi (橘吉). Each porcelain cup features a rich, marbled glaze (shibori-yū) decorated with refined gilded hand-painted bamboo motif (bamboo in gold / takabayashi-myōkin). Established in 1752 in Kyoto, Tachikichi is one of Japan's most celebrated historic ceramic houses, renowned for blending traditional Kyoto elegance with exquisite contemporary craft.
