This painting presents an abstract composition dominated by an extensive golden surface that envelops all the forms and acts as an open, warm and luminous space. On this background, different dark, reddish, white, yellow and earthy elements appear, seemingly floating in an undefined territory. The absence of a recognizable scene allows the gaze to focus on the relationships between colors, shapes and empty spaces. The entire work transmits a sense of spaciousness, silence and mystery, as if showing a landscape reduced to its most essential traces.

The golden hue occupies most of the composition and constitutes its main unifying element. It is not perceived as a completely uniform color, but as a surface full of slight variations, reflections and changes in intensity that add depth. Depending on the area, the background appears to approach warm yellows, soft ochres or sun-lit sand tones. This visual richness turns the seemingly empty space into an active presence that surrounds and supports the other forms.

At the top, a long line of dark color extends horizontally across the painting. Its path is irregular, wavy and organic, as if it were a crack, a branch, a shadow, or the distant profile of a territory. Below it, a broader burgundy-toned shape expands to the left and narrows to the right. Both shapes establish a kind of boundary within the golden space and contribute tension to the upper area, evoking a division between two different realms.

The dark line can be interpreted as a horizon, although its nature remains deliberately ambiguous. Its jagged contour recalls the profile of a mountain range seen from afar, but it could also suggest a river’s course, an open wound, a root advancing underground, or a mark traced by the passage of time. In the central zone appears the greatest concentration of shapes and colors. There unfolds a broad horizontal band composed of whites, blacks, browns, ochres and intense yellows. Its irregular limits give the impression of a transforming territory, like a mass that expands, fragments and reunites. The presence of white adds brightness, while the black areas introduce depth and drama. The brown and orange tones establish a visual connection with the lower band and reinforce the earthy character of the whole.

Below this central band stands out a roughly rectangular block, located slightly to the left. It combines coppery browns, deep reds and dark shades that create a solid and compact presence. This form acts as a support point within the composition, contrasting with the free and changing horizontality of the shapes surrounding it. It may remind of a stone, a building, a fragment of earth, or an ancient vestige suspended in the golden space.

Next to the reddish block opens a much brighter yellow area that seems to extend to the right. Its luminosity introduces energy and gives the impression that an inner light emerges from the center of the work. Over this area appear small black, curved and discontinuous shapes, reminiscent of signs, seeds, pathways or tiny silhouettes. These dark details break the continuity of the yellow and provide rhythm, causing the gaze to move slowly across the central part.

The white, gray and black shapes above the yellow create a highly expressive sequence of contrasts. Some areas appear dense and compact, while others dissolve into the background, creating an unstable boundary between figure and space. This variety suggests natural processes such as erosion, sedimentation or wear of an ancient surface. It can also evoke a landscape viewed from above, with stretches of land, dark channels, areas of light and small elevations scattered across a vast territory.

At the bottom, a wide band of orange and earthy color unfolds, formed by a succession of irregular elevations. Its granulose and compact appearance contrasts with the more open expanse of the background. This area may be associated with arid terrain, a rocky coast, a range of hills or the fragmented edge of a matter emerging from the base. Its different heights create a visual rhythm similar to a rugged landscape and provide stability to the whole.

The lower band does not form a continuous and regular line, but rather presents indentations, projections, mounds and small valleys. Thanks to these variations, the boundary between the earthy area and the golden space seems alive and changing. In some points, the shapes ascend with greater force; in others, they descend and allow the background to penetrate between them. This relationship between the compact and the void reinforces the sense that we are looking at a symbolic vision of the earth, time and transformation.

One of the most interesting aspects of the composition is the great distance that separates the lower band from the central core. That wide golden interval generates silence and allows each element to breathe. At the same time, it produces a subtle tension, as the shapes seem to be attracted despite remaining isolated. The central block seems suspended over the lower territory, like an island, a memory or a detached fragment that still maintains an invisible relation with the earth below.

The work builds its strength through the opposition between horizontality and verticality, density and emptiness, darkness and luminosity. The long lines at the top and bottom frame the composition, while the central core concentrates the greatest visual activity.
