卖家的描述
exceptionally signed on the title page by Gianni Berengo Gardin (1930 - 2025), unique and unobtainable elsewhere on the internet in a signed copy, extremely rare. 154 pages and 104 photographs in black and white and in color, French text by Umberto Pappalardo. Black cloth binding with title debossed in black characters and illustrated dust jacket. Copy in excellent condition, almost like new.
Magical place, out of time, whose sudden volcanic eruption interrupted the course of daily life, time and life crystallized. ... Gianni Berengo Gardin wanders the streets of the city, circles around the most famous buildings, sculptures, mural frescoes and these fragments of existence abruptly interrupted. He also bears witness to the city’s new life with the tourists who reclaim the sites by visiting them, and by resting there. He also shows us all the people who work there, from guardians to restorers and archaeologists who continue to explore the site for new discoveries. (from the jacket text). The paradox of this photographic work is that it shows us a living place far from clichés and commonplaces.
A book from my personal collection. Copy in excellent condition, almost like new, kept with the greatest care. Protected shipping with reinforced packaging and international tracked postal service guaranteed. In case of multiple purchases, possibility of grouped shipment with refund of any excess postal charges paid via Paypal.
