卖家的描述
Seljuk Sultanate of Rum.
Kayka'us II, Second Reign (1257–1261 AD).
Dirham (Silver, 23.2 mm, 3 g).
Obv: السلطان الأعظم عز الدنيا والدين كيكاوس بن كيخسرو — “The supreme sultan, Glory of the World and the Faith, Kaykaʾus, son of Kaykhusraw”; inscription in horizontal lines, small knotted ornament within the legend; mint formula above; beaded border.
Rev: الإمام المستعصم بالله أمير المؤمنين — “The Imam al-Mustaʿsim billah, Commander of the Faithful”; inscription divided by a horizontal row of five six-petalled rosettes; beaded border.
Reference: Album, Checklist of Islamic Coins, 1231.
Kayka'us II ruled the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum during its increasing subordination to the Mongols after the defeat at Köse Dağ. He shared power with his brothers, while rival Seljuk factions competed for Mongol support. Kayka'us resisted Mongol domination but was eventually driven from Anatolia and sought refuge in the Byzantine Empire. His reign reflects the fragmentation and decline of Seljuk authority in 13th-century Anatolia.
