Rare D.R.G.M. Dark Amber / "Black" Uranium Glass Ashtray – Germany, c. 1920–1940

Offered for auction is a rare and unusual dish / ashtray made from dark amber "black" uranium glass. In daylight, the piece displays a deep, dark amber/smoky tone. Under UV light (395 nm / 365 nm), it fluoresces a vibrant, striking green due to the presence of uranium oxide.

The underside is marked with the original D.R.G.M. stamp (Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauchsmuster), indicating German production between 1891 and 1945 (likely Art Deco period, c. 1920s–1930s).
