Beautiful antique Villeroy & Boch Schramberg Majolica dessert and serving plate set, dating from the late 19th century, circa 1890.

The set features a highly decorative lilac flower and green foliage pattern, with delicate polychrome decoration and characteristic pierced/reticulated edges. The combination of soft lilac flowers, green leaves and sculptural relief makes this an especially attractive example of late 19th-century German Art Nouveau/Jugendstil majolica.

The set consists of:

1 large serving plate – 29.5 cm diameter

6 smaller plates – 16.5 cm diameter each

Total: 7 pieces


The pieces bear the characteristic Villeroy & Boch Schramberg markings and are associated with the 1241 pattern, with the small plates corresponding to model 1241/9 and the large plate to 1241/2.

Condition:
The set is in very good antique condition for its age. There are only a few minor and barely visible imperfections. Please carefully examine all photographs, as they form an important part of the description and clearly show the condition of the pieces. No major cracks, breaks or restorations are present.
