“The Silent Observers – XXL” is a contemporary figurative and geometric composition exploring observation, silence, instinct, and the invisible relationship between the individual and the surrounding world.
Four fish-like figures inhabit the same fragmented space, yet each seems to exist within its own silent reality. Their distinctly human eyes transform them from ordinary creatures into observers. They do not speak, react, or explain — they simply watch. Their gaze creates a subtle psychological tension, suggesting that observation itself can become a form of communication.
The figures overlap and intersect, forming an almost architectural structure in which it becomes difficult to determine where one body ends and another begins. Individual identities gradually merge into a collective presence. Each observer remains separate, yet all belong to the same environment, reflecting the paradox of human existence: we experience the world individually while constantly existing in relation to others.
Above them, three monumental industrial lamps introduce an unexpected human and architectural element. Their strong black silhouettes contrast with the organic forms below and create the impression of a staged interior — almost as though the observers themselves are being observed. The geometric floor further destabilizes the space, blurring the distinction between underwater environment, interior, memory, and imagination.
The palette combines petrol blue, turquoise, deep red, ochre, burnt sienna, cream, black, white, muted pink, and aged golden-yellow tones. Curved organic forms collide with sharp geometric planes, while scratches, irregular contours, textured surfaces, painterly marks, and deliberate imperfections disrupt the formal structure.
This controlled visual tension is characteristic of the ZAACHI style — a personal contemporary artistic language influenced by Cubism and modern figurative abstraction, where recognizable forms coexist with deliberate distortion, asymmetry, geometric fragmentation, and painterly imperfection.
The original composition was digitally painted by the artist and then professionally printed on high-quality canvas. The artwork was subsequently extensively reworked by hand using acrylic paints, transparent and opaque layers, spatula work, textured marks, scratches, sanding, splashes, and other painterly interventions. The extensive manual finishing gives the artwork its unique texture, depth, expressive surface, and individual character.
This is a unique mixed-media artwork, entirely authentic and one of a kind. It exists as a single original work and is not part of an edition or series of reproductions.
