Vampire Tales #2 – Marvel Comics – October 1973 – First Edition

Original 1973 issue of Marvel’s Vampire Tales, the classic black-and-white horror magazine published by Magazine Management/Marvel.

This is an important Marvel Bronze Age key issue featuring the first appearance of Satana (Satana Hellstrom), the Devil’s Daughter. Satana would go on to become a recurring character in the Marvel Universe.

The issue also features Morbius the Living Vampire and work by notable Marvel creators including John Romita Sr., Pablo Marcos and Jim Steranko.

Published in Marvel’s larger black-and-white magazine format, which allowed the company to publish horror material outside the restrictions normally associated with standard Comics Code-approved comic books of the period.
