"Reishun" (Beautiful Spring) is a creative *kokeshi* doll crafted by the renowned Japanese artisan Usaburo; this piece was honored with the Minister of International Trade and Industry Award. Carved from a single block of solid wood, it embodies a beauty of minimalist serenity. Its face is defined by soft, clean lines, while the body features a plum blossom motif created through a combination of carving and hand-painting—symbolizing the radiance and beauty of spring. The doll shows only slight, natural signs of age and comes with its original wooden box, which bears the work's title and the artisan's seal; it is a fine piece of great collectible value.
