一幅日本六扇屏风，以金箔和银箔绘制，描绘一只雄鸡和一只母鸡在竹子和花卉植物之间。

画面构图主要在屏风的下部展开。居中，一只尾羽修长的公鸡站在一旁，旁边是一只正在地上啄食的母鸡。

在它们背后竖立起细长的竹竿，竹叶枝条延展至上部，为构图提供主要的纵向运动。

花枝、菊花、草本与其他季节性植物更自由地向两侧延伸，留下背景的大片空白区域未作装饰。

画面被两道丝质边框环绕，漆木框架完成并保护屏风。

Byōbu (屏風), literally “wind protection screens,” are traditional Japanese folding screens originally created to divide spaces and today appreciated above all as striking wall-mounted paintings.

---The byobu is in good condition with minor surface wear and repaired holes. Minor wear to the silk and lacquer frame, consistent with age. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
