卖家的描述
Exquisite huge cache-pot with handles, Indian Basket pattern, made by Herend, Hungary. Beautifully hand painted piece with floral decor in green colour and heavy gold trimmed, in excellent to pristine condition.
The manufactory in Herend was established by Vince Stingl in 1826. At first it produced stoneware. In 1839 this situated near lake Balaton factory was bought by Mór Fischer. This year they started manufacturing porcelain. Herend won a golden medal at the first World Exhibition in London in 1851. Next exhibitions became important for Herend factory as a venue to present new product lines. In 1872 Emperor Francis Joseph made the manufactory oficially the Supplier to the Imperial and Royal Court.
The Indian Basket pattern is perhaps Herend’s most classical design.
Introduced in the 1850s, this pattern's original name was "East Indies Flowers". Much of the Oriental porcelain exported to Europe was shipped via East Indian companies, and the Eastern influence is further reflected in the Japanese-style arrangements portrayed here.
This cache-pot is in excellent to pristine condition, marked with Herend blue shield mark, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
Note: If you’ll be interested, I’ll have another one, same pattern, same dimensions and in the same exceptional condition. I have a pair of them.
Dimensions:
Diameter with handles: 29 cm
Height: 20,5 cm
The lot will be very carefully and safely packed!
With love and respect for the porcelain - “ The White Gold ”
