Vintage Brentima Star automatic Swiss wristwatch, dating approximately from the 1960s–1970s.

A very attractive example of the classic mid-century Swiss dress-watch style, featuring a champagne/silver sunburst dial, applied gold-tone hour markers and Arabic numerals at 6, 9 and 12, together with an unusual framed date display positioned at 12 o’clock.

Brentima is a comparatively uncommon Swiss vintage name today, with surviving examples appearing far less frequently than the better-known mainstream Swiss manufacturers. Watches of this period reflect the strong post-war Swiss tradition of producing elegant mechanical watches with reliable jewelled movements for the international market.

The movement is shown in detail in the photographs and appears clean and complete.

The watch is in attractive vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use to the case, dial, crystal and other components. The dial retains a very appealing original vintage appearance with light age-related marks and patina.

The presentation box also shows age-related wear, consistent with its vintage nature.
