正面： السلطان الأعظم ركن الدنيا والدين قلج أرسلان بن كيخسرو. “The Supreme Sultan, Pillar of the World and the Faith, Qilij Arslan, son of Kaykhusraw”; arranged in lines, generally with a central arabesque or rosettes.
反面： المنة لله / لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله / ضرب هذا الدرهم بـ[المكان] سنة [التاريخ]. “Favor belongs to Allah / There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah / This dirham was struck at [mint] in the year [date].” 中央的风格化印记读取 المنة لله (al-minnatu li-llāh)；铸造地与日期出现在周围。

Qilij Arslan IV 在塞尔柱-鲁姆苏丹国统治时期处于蒙古的附属地位。多年来与兄弟 Kayka’us II 之间势力对立，蒙古干预使他在1262年成为康尼亚的单一汗。实际掌权日益掌握在强势官员手中，尤以 Mu'in al-Din Pervane 为代表。Qilij Arslan 的抵抗此类支配的努力以在1265/66年的遇害告终。
