Florentin Brunz Gaborieau

An elegant European cabinet set featuring a twin-handled oval porcelain platter executed in the Neoclassical "Royal Vienna" revival style. The center features a high-quality lithographic scene after Angelica Kauffman depicting Venus (or a classical nymph) playfully holding Cupid’s bow out of reach. The vignette is framed by a rich carmine red ground, a sage green border, and intricate gold-gilt foliage scrolls.
It features an incised pre-glaze mold number "709" along the rim.
