a very fine and large antique vessel from the Tuareg of the Mali / Niger.
Made of hardwood with a dark brown blackish, partially glossy surface.

The bowl was carved to maintain the main weight at the bottom of the vessel - therefore it also stands well on a flat surface.

From the former collection of a renown dealer in African and Oceanic arts from Munich, Germany (provenance will be provided to the buyer).

Height approx. 19cm; diameter between 30 and 32cm
