19th Century Elegant Wooden Desk Seal – Monogram Matrix
An elegant and finely crafted antique desk wax seal, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century.
The seal features a beautifully hand-engraved, ornate oval matrix with an interlocking cursive monogram. The intricate calligraphy incorporates the stylized letters "J", "B", and "A" (or similar variations depending on interpretation).
• Composition: Cast in wood with a rich, dark natural colour developed over decades of age and handling with metal base.
• Condition: Excellent antique condition. The bronze stem is structurally sound with no cracks or repairs. The engraving on the matrix remains sharp and fully functional, showing only minor, authentic surface wear consistent with historical use.
Dimension: 8cm
Weight: 15g
