从教会图像学与文艺复兴大师的深邃明暗对比中获得灵感，Atonement 讲述道德自省、忏悔以及罪责的重担。沿着模特脊柱排列的燃烧蜡烛，成为一种直观的、祭坛般的重量——字面意义上的过失携带，以及对苦难的庄严忍受。两侧点缀的石榴——希腊双象征，既是地下世界的阴影，也是重生与更新的承诺——整个场景在 raw 的牺牲与灵性修复的终极希望之间取得平衡。

关于艺术家

Elena Paraskeva 的作品被收录于多家机构与企业收藏，包括瑞典公共艺术部（Västra Götaland Government）、美国波士顿医院（主要 500 cm 的儿童癌症病房入口装置）、澳大利亚国立大学、Thalassa 博物馆、Affinity（Serif）等及其他机构藏品。
