卖家的描述

Sasanian Empire.
Khusro II (591–628 AD).
Drachm (Silver, 25.53 mm, 2.42 g).

Obv: Draped bust of Khusro II right, wearing a winged mural crown surmounted by a star-in-crescent; Pahlavi legends naming Khusro and invoking an increase in his royal glory; three star-in-crescents around.
Rev: Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants; star and crescent flanking flames; regnal year to left and mint signature to right; four star-in-crescents around.

Reference: Göbl, Sasanian Numismatics, Type II/3.

Khusro II (591–628 AD) ruled the Sasanian Empire at its greatest territorial extent. After regaining his throne with Byzantine support, he later launched a vast war against Byzantium, capturing Syria, Egypt and much of Anatolia. Emperor Heraclius eventually reversed these gains and invaded Persia. Khusro was deposed and killed in 628 AD, after which the empire entered a rapid period of instability before the Arab conquests.
