Michael Gram (Danish, born 1984)
Elena, 2026

Female figure, inspired by a young woman named Elena, who served as the model for the sculpture.

With her head gently tilted and her gaze lowered, Elena appears absorbed in a quiet, private moment.
The sculpture is carefully hand-sculpted, with particular attention to gesture, balance and the subtle asymmetry of the human body. Rather than seeking idealized proportions or a formal pose, the work captures the individuality of the model through a simple, understated expression of human presence.

The work is cast in solid bronze using the traditional lost-wax method (cire perdue), preserving the expressive modelling and tactile surface of the original sculpture.

The surface is finished with a vibrant green-turquoise patina, with darker bronze tones emerging beneath. The variations in colour accentuate the contours and textured surface, giving the sculpture an aged, almost archaeological quality, in contrast to the intimate and contemporary character of the figure.

The sculpture is signed MG and marked with a unique serial number.
