Founded in 1935, the French luxury design house Pierre Frey is an inspirational, family-owned business with a proud tradition which looks towards the future. The Maison designs, creates and manufactures fabrics in the purest French tradition, but mixing styles and periods.
Working in partnership with the Louvre to celebrate the bicentenary of the discovery of hieroglyphs by Champollion in 1822, the Maison Pierre Frey " Merveilles d'Egypte "collection displays a wide range of motifs and drawings and pay tribute to an Egyptomania born at the end of the 18th century with the Egyptian campaign,
One luxury cushion in rectangular size made with the precious Pierre Frey "Abkaou" fabric in "Nuit" color (35 % Cotton - 23 % Linen - 22 % Silk - 20 % Viscose) and backside made with a velvet fabric in black color.
This precious damask, a bas-relief in silk and linen, depicts a magnificent scene of life, finely woven and restores all the emotion of the limestone stele exhibited in the Louvre's Department of Egyptian Antiquities.
