现货是一枚非常精美、品质优良的粉白色低半透明 Chinese artist stone Seal。This big stone seal has a fine carving of 2 foo-dogs on top. The stone is, or resembles Shoushan stone. It has beautiful color shades in pink on white and white-grey traces. The seal is nicely engraved at the front- and backside with many characters! The face of the seal is carved with several Chinese characters. Nice smooth surface by use. UV check shows that the stone is natural, so not artificially colored.
Provenance: Recently, we had the privilege of acquiring a richly varied collection of old/antique Chinese stone seals. These remarkable seals have been brought together over many years by a private collector. They consist of good quality authentic Chinese seals made from various colored mineral stones, including possibly shoushan stone (larderite). The dating varies; but they are all from the Qing period into the 20th century.
During the coming period, we will offer items of this collection at a time. Please use your knowledge and judge for yourself, we offer them all without reserve price. Don't miss this opportunity! Good luck bidding!
