A beautiful vintage 400-day anniversary mantel clock manufactured in West Germany by the renowned maker Kern & Söhne (featuring the authentic 'KS' logo stamped on the backplate).

This classic torsion clock stands out with its striking black dial adorned with delicate hand-painted floral motifs, matching decorated pillars, and a matching black lacquered base with floral detailing.
It comes complete with its original glass dome, which beautifully protects the internal mechanism.
The underside features the original three adjustable leveling feet and the integrated transport locking lever mechanism.

# Condition Report

* Cosmetic condition: Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of wear. The brass plating shows a nice vintage patina, and the floral decorations remain vibrant and intact. The glass dome is in great shape with no cracks.

* Technical condition: FOR RESTORATION / REPAIR. The suspension torsion spring (the thin wire) is broken and needs replacement. The gear train and components appear complete and intact, but due to years of storage, the movement will require a proper cleaning, oiling, and a new suspension wire to be fully functional again.
