Born in Barcelona where he studied art and began working, Lluis Jorda is a sculptor firmly rooted in the artistic traditions of his Mediterranean homeland. He shows great sensitivity and romantic character in his sculptures and by following the steps of the great Catalan sculptors of the 19th and 20th centuries and, at the same time, by integrating the trends of modern art, he succeeds in creating beautiful works that are both classic and contemporary in character.
