Beautiful set by David Marshall. - Tray in aluminium and brass by David Marshall, circa 1970. Unlike many of Marshall's other works, this tray is fairly symmetrical, instead of being organically irregular. The brass handles on the ends heighten the aluminium structure visually, which is accentuated by the serrated cross-shape in the centre. The bottom features the characteristic leather base. The item is in excellent general vintage condition with characteristic signs of wear consisting with its production, age and history of use. - David Marshall, Brutalist candlesticks in cast aluminium and cast brass, 1970. A pair of asymmetrical bi-coloured candlesticks. The main structure is in cast aluminium with two small elements in gold-plated cast brass, attached to the central part of the shaft. Very original shape and a high-quality creation. David Marshall is an American designer from the 1960s in Sevilla, Spain. His work could be clustered with artistic creations by American designers Paul Evans and Curtis Jeré, contemporaries of David Marshall.
