A group of three fine Luristan Bronze arrowheads of varied size and style. The largest arrowhead fetaures a raised rounded mid-rib, leading to a long squared-off tang. The blade is triangular with sharp curved tangs, one of which is missing from the piece. The next arrowhead has a wide flat mid-rib, barely distinct from the blade. The tang is short and flat, and the blade is triangular with no true barbs, just pointed corners. The third and final arrowhead has a raised mid-rib, short tang, and triangular shaped blade. The barbs are acutley pointed and have straighter edges. This piece showes slightly more deterioration than the others. Luristan objects are for the majority bronze cast items decorated with bronze sculptures and there have been many discovered in the Lorestān Province. Excavated items often included weapons, tools, and finials, as well as small amulet and fittings. Everyday objects are also found including pins and bracelets. Archaeological evidences suggested that the Luristan bronze objects often serve ceremonial functions given their funerary contexts.
