For sale is a very rare collector’s item: a 1984 Kawasaki KXT250 Tecate.
This model is extremely hard to find — it was originally produced for the U.S. market, where it even had its own racing series.
The machine is brutally powerful, fast, and dangerous — definitely not for beginners.
This particular unit is more suited for a collection: it has been restored (not by me), and I simply brought it back to life after a long sleep.
Known non-original parts and modifications:
• The entire bike has been repainted.
• The lower parts of the fenders were painted black.
• The front headlight is not original.
• The carburetor is a replica, but I will also include the original carburetor.
• One of the front forks shows oil leakage (seal needs replacement).
The engine starts easily, runs smoothly, and is very strong — one of the most powerful machines in its class.
Similar models, when they rarely appear on foreign websites, usually sell for $8,000–$10,000, often in worn-out condition.
This one can still be refined further if someone wants a fully factory-original appearance (e.g., replacing the headlight), but even as it is now, it’s a beautiful, unique, and highly collectible piece.
Important: this is not the smaller 185cc version — this is not a toy.
Most mechanical parts are identical to the KX250, so maintenance and parts sourcing are easy.
