Meissen - 有盖的陶瓷大盘 - 瓷

Meissen porcelain tureen, known as a 'Drüselkästchen' or crown tureen.
The original model was designed in 1738 by Johann Joachim Kändler, Meissen's most celebrated modeller, for Maria Josepha of Saxony.

The piece is characterized by its elaborate Baroque and Rococo ornamentation, including a bulbous, pierced body, rich gilding, and hand-painted cartouches with landscape scenes.
Female busts serve as handles, and cherubic putti hold applied garlands of flowers and drapery swags.

The ornate cover features putti supporting a multicolored crown on a cushion, with panels depicting hunting scenes and courting couples.

This is a more recent production, from the 1924-1934 period.
