Heavy Ship's Chest Cabinet

This is a chest of drawers from the Edo period, used by merchants to store goods and money when traveling by ship.
It is decorated with heavy ironwork.
It is quite a heavy chest of drawers.
The iron and amber-colored wood create a beautiful atmosphere.

The upper door can be locked.
However,
the keys on the open drawers and the lower drawers cannot be locked.
I inserted the key and turned it, but it would not lock.
The handles on the two top drawers inside are missing.

The iron has signs of age-related damage.
