Palacio de Arganza is a Spanish red wine produced in the Bierzo region. The winery has been producing wine since the 16th century. The 1978 vintage is a single varietal wine made from 100% Mencía grapes. The wine has a red ochre colour, a sign of its age, with aromas of dried fruits, vanilla and tobacco. The palate is well structured with flavours of black cherry, blackberry and spices. The tannins are firm, and the finish is long and lingering.
