卖家的描述

For auction is a bundle of four original World War I medals, representing France, Italy, Serbia, and Hungary. These are authentic historical items from the 1914–1918 period, ideal for collectors of WW1 militaria, European history, or medal groups.

Included in the Lot:
1. French Croix de Guerre 14-18
A military decoration awarded for acts of gallantry and courage during World War I. Established in April 1915, it recognized both French and Allied soldiers, as well as military units and even cities and villages, for heroic actions on the battlefield. The award's level was indicated by different emblems, such as a bronze palm for army-level commendations or a silver star for divisional level.
“Marianne” obverse and “1914–1918” reverse

2. Italian Commemorative Medal for the Italo-Austrian War 1915–1918
Established by King Victor Emmanuel III to honor Italian armed forces who fought against Austria-Hungary in World War I. The medal was designed by engraver Silvio Canevari and is cast in bronze taken from captured Austro-Hungarian artillery. It symbolizes the victory in WWI and the completion of Italian unification
Obverse features King Victor Emmanuel III and the reverse shows an allegorical imagery of Italy

3. Serbian Commemorative Medal for the Great War (1914–1918)
Established in 1920, this medal was to commemorate the 1914-1918 war, and was awarded to all veterans, enlisted men, NCO's, and officers, Serbian and Allied, who participated in Serbia's liberation. After 1931, the French government authorised eligible French soldiers to wear this medal. One side has the Serbian Cyrillic text 'ПЕТАР I КРАЉ СРБИЈЕ', which transliterates to 'Petar I Kralj Srbije', and translates to 'Peter I, King of Serbia', with the years 1914 and 1918, and King Peter is shown in profile. The other side has a Serbian eagle on it with the years 1915, 1916, and 1917. Shown here is the full size medal, the miniature version of the same, and the ribbon bar for this award.

4. Hungarian WW1 War Medal - "Pro Deo Et Patria"
The medal is made of 37mm diameter stones with a silver patina design. On the front, the Anjou era coat of arms of Hungary is decorated with the Hungarian Holy Crown. Under the shield, two crossed swords from the era of St. Stephen can be seen. On the back is a military steel helmet, with the years 1914-1918 underneath. The inscription PRO DEO ET PATRIA (FOR GOD AND HIS COUNTRY) is written in the upper circular arch, and a palm branch held together with a ribbon in the lower arch.
