The Noh mask "Hashihime" depicts a woman who has gone mad with jealousy and turned into a demon, and its name comes from the legend of Hashihime of Uji. This mask is mainly used in the Noh play "Tetsuwa," which is based on the legend of a woman who threw herself into the Uji River and turned into a demon.
