卖家的描述
A six-panel screen (屏風, byōbu) painted on a gold leaf ground, depicting an early-spring landscape marked by blossoming plum branches (梅, ume) still covered with patches of snow. Along the lower section unfolds a stylized landscape with soft rolling forms and a deep blue stream marked by flowing lines that suggest the movement of water.
On the riverbank, two mandarin ducks (鴛鴦, oshidori) rest among seasonal plants, while a bird is shown in flight above.
The panels are framed by two elegant silk borders, while a lacquered wooden frame completes and protects the screen.
Byōbu (屏風), literally “wind protection screens,” are traditional Japanese folding screens originally created to divide spaces and today appreciated above all as striking wall-mounted paintings.
---The byobu is in good condition, with small holes and minor wear to the paper, also along the joints, and on the lacquer frame. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
The item will be carefully packed and shipped via DHL or FedEx, accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity issued by Mastromauro Japanese art gallery based in Milan, Italy.
