Signed, James Baldwin - Tell Me How Long the Train's Been Gone - 1973

Signed by James Baldwin in ink on the dedication page, this First Edition Dell paperback (7th printing) is uncreased at the spine, has tight binding, green-coloured page edges, and only light shelf and edge wear. Please note one noticeable sign of wear to the long side of the page edges. But what is more remarkable about this collectible is the rarity: most signed copies of Baldwin's books on the market are Franklin Library editions, which were all printed and signed en masse for straight-to-collectible distribution. If other signed copies of Baldwin's books are hard to find, it's because they spend little time on the market before being sold.
