Deze antieke leren tabakspot is een karakteristiek object uit het begin van de 20e eeuw. Dergelijke potten werden gebruikt voor de opslag van pijptabak en stonden vaak zichtbaar opgesteld als teken van gastvrijheid en status.

De pot is volledig vervaardigd uit dik gevormd leer en voorzien van een gedetailleerd verhoogd reliëf op het deksel, met klassieke decoratieve motieven en putti.
