As this is a gift for someone else, I understand that you may not be familiar with this type of product or with the natural behavior of Christofle silver plating. Therefore, I believe that your assessment of these marks simply reflects a lack of familiarity with the characteristics and behavior of the material.

As I have already explained, the cutlery is still sealed and has never been used, handled, or displayed. These superficial marks are precisely consistent with the fact that the pieces have been stored for some time and do not mean that the product has been used or is damaged.

In any case, if you wish to return the set, I will of course be happy to receive it back. If you are looking to purchase a gift and want to ensure that the product has exactly the presentation you expect, I recommend going directly to a Christofle boutique and purchasing it at the brand’s current retail price, which is considerably higher than the amount you paid for this set.
