賣家描述
Description
An elegant Japanese lacquered jubako (tiered bento box), decorated in exquisite gold maki-e with a flying crane and flowing pine branches against a deep black ground. The interior reveals a vibrant vermilion red lacquer, creating a refined contrast typical of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
The crane (tsuru) and pine (matsu) motif symbolizes longevity, prosperity, and auspicious fortune—motifs historically associated with celebratory occasions and formal New Year cuisine. The gold detailing is finely executed and remains visually striking, with beautiful reflective depth under light.
The set includes two stackable tiers and a matching lid, as shown in the photographs. The lacquer surface maintains a strong gloss with only light, age-appropriate surface marks visible upon close inspection. The interior red lacquer is clean and well preserved. Overall, the piece presents very well and retains strong decorative and collector appeal.
A sophisticated display object as well as a functional serving piece—highly desirable for collectors of Japanese lacquerware and traditional decorative arts.
