来自西非的、非常大尺幅的木雕箱，最有可能产自尼日利亚（约鲁巴文化区）。

这个木箱完全由手工雕刻，四面以高浮雕图景装饰，描绘站立的人物携带容器和仪式物品，连绵的叙事性浮雕带呈现。

箱盖与箱侧点缀几何与象征性纹样，典型的西非雕塑传统风格。

箱体四脚雕刻而成，配铰链盖。内部为简单、干净的中空，表明其为装饰性或仪式用途而进行的工坊工艺。

浮雕呈现出强烈的节奏感与匀称的比例。

表面呈现自然、久经岁月的包浆，与其材质与年代相吻合。
