Mashiyama Sessai (1754-1819)

Horeki 4 (1754) - Bunsei 2 (1819)
Born in Edo. His name is Seiken. The character is Kunsen, and the separate issues are Shotei and Gyokuen.
He was also known as "Sekiten Dojin".
In 1776, following the death of his father, Masayoshi Masuyama, the fourth lord of Ise Nagashima Clan (present-day Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture),
he inherited the family of Ise Nagashima Clan. He contributed to the cultural development of the clan by establishing the Bunreikan (clan school) and inviting many cultural leaders.
Sesai himself was known as a literary daimyo who excelled in calligraphy, painting, Go, and sencha.
