A refined and highly collectible 1940s Breitling Chronograph, representing the golden era of Swiss mechanical chronograph production. This timepiece captures the true spirit of mid-century horology, when Breitling was establishing itself as one of the most respected names in professional chronographs.

The watch features a 33 mm gold-plated case with stainless steel back, elegant sculpted lugs and classic pump pushers. The proportions are perfectly balanced, offering authentic vintage wrist presence. The case shows honest signs of wear consistent with age and careful use, remaining in good overall condition for a watch of this period.

The silver dial is particularly charming, displaying a textured central guilloché pattern and beautifully aged patina developed naturally over decades. Applied Arabic numerals at 12, 2 and 10, along with faceted hour markers, create strong visual depth. The outer tachymeter scale (Km/h) remains visible and enhances the watch’s functional heritage. The two recessed sub-dials complete the classic bi-compax layout, offering small seconds and a 30-minute chronograph counter.

The watch is powered by a Swiss mechanical hand-wound chronograph movement. It has been professionally disassembled and serviced by our in-house watchmaker. Timekeeping and general operation are very good. The pushers provide firm feedback and the chronograph resets precisely to 12.

Important technical note: due to the age of the movement, the chronograph start lever shows light wear. When the chronograph is started, the central seconds hand initially jumps toward the 55-minute mark before functioning normally. After that, the chronograph operates correctly and resets perfectly. This has been transparently disclosed and reflected accordingly.
