This piece features a classic grey wool cardigan with a permanently attached navy underlayer, creating the illusion of a sweater worn underneath. A subtle but highly conceptual detail that reflects Margiela's exploration of layering, deconstruction, and altered perception.
The inner layer is fully integrated into the construction, not removable, forming a true hybrid garment - part cardigan, part sweater.
Produced in Italy in 2013, during the Maison Martin Margiela period, known for its strong adherence to the brand's original design philosophy.
